Friends … it is Friday, so if you are looking for Lawrence Lantz and “Good News Friday” we published it yesterday (HERE) because there is so much to report on the developing Lexington County Republican Party (LCRP) drama as SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick tries to take out the duly elected leadership … specifically Chair Pamela Goodwin … which is what Drew and the “sleepy caucus” of the SCGOP State Executive Committee purported to do Wednesday evening at their 4th quarter meeting and before walking over to the Governor’s Mansion for a Christmas Party (HERE with background HERE & HERE).
Ironic right? A CHRISTmas Party with Governor McMaster right after a sham “lynching” of LCRP Chair Pamela Godwin.
The only State Executive Committee members to oppose the efforts? The America FIRST leaders from the state delegate heavy counties of Greenville, Pickens, Anderson, York, Lexington, Dorchester … plus Barnwell. Drew had already taken out America FIRST GOP leaders in Horry, Charleston & Oconee counties though sham and bullying efforts … picking them off one by one … but it appears Lexington is the last straw … he went too far this time.
How Did YOUR County Vote?
We are reaching out to other SCGOP County Leaders to see how they voted Wednesday night and will let you know. How did your county vote??? Let us know at team@mySCGOP.com.
Rules for Thee, but not for ME?
Chairman McKissick and his go along to get along “sleepy caucus” of the SCGOP State Executive Committee did what they do best Wednesday night … they ramrodded through a sham “lynching” of LCRP Chair Pamela Godwin under the auspices of her violating the “new” SCGOP Rule 16(a).
Here is the full 24 page package from the SCGOP Rules Committee (more on them later – and their unelected & “anti” School Choice LOBBIST Chair Tony Denny – HERE) which was handed out to County Executive Committee members for the first time at Wednesday’s meeting (HERE or below).
Yes … no one had any notice of this Rule 16(a) allegation … including Chair Pamela Godwin herself … and no documentation was provide to the State Executive Committee Body until moments before the discussion. That is your first hint to vote against anything this serious as purging a County Chairman!!!
The 24 Page “report”
24 Page “sham” SCGOP Rules Committee Package: HERE
What you will notice from the 24 page report … nowhere has Chair Pamela Godwin signed a single legal document. She is simply not a party to any legal action whatsoever (as required by Rule 16(a)) … but the majority of the SCGOP Executive Committee held her responsible as Drew McKissick led them to do.
We know why … but HOW could any “reasonable” person do that??? Because Pamela is the Chair and the buck stops with her???
Well … where does the buck stop with Drew McKissick and the SCGOP State Executive Committee members that voted for this sham “lynching”? Are they being selecting in the application of the Rules? See below …
SEVEN Violations Not Pursued
Drew Responsible?
Drew Vacated his SCGOP Chairmanship?
42 Page Lawsuit by the HORRY GOP Leadership: HERE
Last December 5th, 2022, the Drew McKissick supporting Horry County Republican Party “purported” Chairman (Reese Boyd), 1st Vice Chair (Robert Visconti) & State Executive Committeeman (Michael Connett) … all in their official capacity as Party Officials sued Roger Slagle, Barbara Treacy & Angela King.
Although Roger Slagle resigned as the Horry County Republican Party Chairman (and retracted it before it was #1 accepted per Robert’s Rules of Order and #2 the effective date) … Roger had not resigned his other official positions as a precinct officer or a county & state delegate.
Drew’s signature is all in the legal filings above as part of the evidence in that case … as well as information from SCGOP Executive Director Hope Walker … so he can’t claim to not know anything about it … can he?
So did Reese, Robert & Michael all had their “purported” leadership positions vacated under Rule 16(a)??? Nope … Drew McKissick did nothing and ignored it all together.
The irony … “purported” Horry County Republican Party State Executive Committeeman “likely” (we are checking, so stay tuned) voted to purge LCRP Chair Pamela Godwin whose signature is nowhere to be found in the Lexington court documents.
Rules for THEE, not for ME???
Counterclaimed filed in Lexington:
What Drew McKissick and the SCGOP Rules Committee also ignored is that FOUR “Counterclaims” were filed by the Defendants against the LCPR in the “Claim & Delivery” case which they used to purportedly oust Chair Pamela Godwin.
The SCGOP “missed” the fact that the four individuals accused of taking assets from the Lexington County Republican Party had themselves “sued” the LCRP via counterclaims???
NO … you probably would not miss that except on purpose as all FOUR of these individuals are part of the Drew McKissick supported “splinter group”.
Wouldn’t these FOUR lawsuits be clearly against the LCRP Committee of Discipline and as such would be automatic dismissals under SCGOP Rule 16(a)?
We have requested the legal documents filed in the four Lexington “Claim & Delivery” cases so we hope to have those specific details for you as well so we know what these four individuals sued the LCRP Committee of Discipline over.
Stay tuned … this is certainly not going away anytime soon.
[NOTE: Jackie Fowler also had a POLICE REPORT (HERE – pages 13-16) filed against her for allegedly absconding with the checkbook and banking records … and refusing to return them. Reportedly she stated she “threw them away”. Seriously?]
