LEXINGTON GOP “SPLINTER GROUP” CRAZINESS: Back on October 2nd (HERE) we gave you an introduction and a very brief update on what is happening in the Lexington County Republican Party (LCRP).
Basically you have a minority “splinter group“ of old guard RINOs and some folks who used to work cooperatively with the America FIRST team who have banded together in one bizarre (and some say unholy) union which to most of us is completely unexplainable. Is it power, is it money, is it personal grievances … who the heck knows (although we have our theories).
SAME TACTICS IN GREENVILLE: We have the same thing going on here in Greenville with our own rouge splinter group … aka their failed September 14th “Sauna Meeting“ (HERE & HERE) and the need to expose a whole bunch of SLED reports (HERE & HERE) to help explain potentially “why” this is happening … that has proven here locally to be a total embarrassment to the individuals playing these political games.
Seriously … one of their main players has 10 current outstanding charges for CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONDUCT WITH A MINOR … YES A MINOR!!! (HERE). That is your “team”??? He is also actively on the “DeSantis” team & Randy Page’s Never Back Down PAC … so maybe that explains it.
#FollowTheMONEY!!!
Jeff Magg & Stephen Brown “Sauna Meeting” Debunked!!!
LEXINGTON IMPERSONATORS?
The political games have petered out here in Greenville (for the time being) as we have a little more experience (since ReOrg 2021) exposing these political tactics and our folks know not to be misled (“Watch what they DO, not what they SAY“) … but wow has it taken a bizarre (and I personally think criminal) twist in Lexington County.
On one side … Pamela Godwin (Chair), Lanneau Siegling (State EC) & Richard Gehling (2nd Vice Chair).
On the other … Mark Weber (1st Vice Chair) & John Allen (3rd Vice Chair).
Mark Weber called me back on July 17th before all this went down and asked my opinion (or tried to win me to their side) and my response was clear:
(#1) The longstanding SCGOP policy is that a county officer elected at Convention can not be forcibly removed … so he was barking up the wrong tree no matter what their local bylaws might say … and,
(#2) Chair Pamela Godwin, like myself, may have an edge to her (which I see as a positive), but she has been doing this for a long time … has proven to be right over and over … and WE support her 1,000%.
I guess that was not good enough and they went on with this #OffMISSION fiasco anyhow. “Why” is the real question … especially since Pamela brought in (I call it trusted) Mark & John in the first place. Again, “Watch what they DO, not what they SAY“, but we have to trust people sometimes … and I know from experience as well, we sometimes get burned.
We could all do better with Vetting (HERE) … but it took us in the Greenville County Republican Party a few missteps trusting the wrong people too, so as I told Pamela, it is just part of the growing process, so expect it.
THE “SPLINTER GROUP” CRAZINESS: We should put together the full timeline … but it all started off with the “splinter group” absconding with the LCRP Facebook page … they tried to take the website as well (www.lexingtonrepublicans.com), but Pamela was able to get that back … then the “splinter group” countered with setting up their own rogue LCRP website (www.lexingtoncountyrepublicanparty.com) still listing Pamela as Chair and soliciting DONATIONS as the LCRP (criminal?) interestingly linked to the Newberry County Republican Party website (think Chad Connelly & Dave Wilson). There was also a purported petition (we have not seen it and all indications is it was not what it seemed) to remove Pamela as Chair (remember, that is impossible per the SCGOP standing policy) … and finally on October 2nd they held a purported election and elected Mark Weber unanimously as their LCRP “Chair”.
YES, it is utter insanity … an embarrassment to the South Carolina Republican Party … and my personal frustration … it does ZERO to promote the Republican Platform!!! Or maybe that is the intent here, to subvert the Platform with Infiltrators (HERE) and Controlled Opposition (HERE) … or just part of some power hungry political cabal … it all makes no sense otherwise.
And just when you think it can’t get worse … the “splinter group” is now going around South Carolina speaking and purporting to be the leadership of the LCRP.
This was sent to me just yesterday … Zoe Warren, purporting to the be the LCRP Legislative Committee Chair (which he never was with the real LCRP) is speaking in Colleton County tonight. The real irony … it is a speech about “identity crisis”. Was it necessary to claim to be the LCRP Legislative Chair to get people to come listen … or are we all about “titles” … or is this a more concerted RICO conspiracy to subvert the duly elected LCRP leadership?
Just set up your “Club” and move on … don’t pretend to be something you are not.
Lexington County GOP Legislative Chair?
LIKE WATCHING A TRAIN WRECK!!!
I was asked yesterday what I would do if someone was going around SC saying they (not me) were the “State Executive Committeeman from Greenville County”? My response … call the cops. It must be a crime to impersonate someone else … right?
But I also commented that in South Carolina we have not had a lot of success with law enforcement doing the right things here … especially with all these political matters. Our SC Courts don’t seem to be willing to do the right things either (see HERE, HERE & HERE) … but that is only proving our point on the need for “real” Judicial Reform.
There is also the maxim attributed to Napoleon that says “Never Interfere With an Enemy While He’s in the Process of Destroying Himself”.
I don’t like “titles” in the first place … but I, like many others, could not imagine using a title that had any question to it or I did not deserve.
SCGOP – BETWEEN A ROCK & A HARD PLACE: SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick has already stated publicly and to the press that he does not want to have anything to do with this mess. Fair enough, none of us do, but that’s YOUR JOB. What will be really interesting is that “if” he allows this farce to continue and does a 180 on the longstanding SCGOP policy that officials elected at ReOrg & Convention (from county chair down to precinct officers) can not be removed just because he wants to get rid of Pamela Godwin … that flipflop will open up a can of worms in all 46 Counties & all 2,261 Precincts as the battles between RINO “splinter groups” and America FIRST Platform Republicans will be endless.
Stay tuned … this is going to be good. 😉

As conservatives, we know that America’s greatness is not found in the size of its government, but in the character of its people. True prosperity follows when we align our laws and our lives with God’s moral truths. Let’s keep honoring God, remain steadfast in our commitment to the values that exalt our nation and keep our country free.
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Greenville County Republican Party Chairman Statement on RJ May’s Sentencing
Greenville, SC – January 14, 2026 – The Greenville County Republican Party (GCRP) expresses its sincere gratitude to the Office of the United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina for their diligent and thorough work in prosecuting former State Representative and co-founder of the SC Freedom Caucus, RJ May, on federal charges of distributing child sexual abuse material.
We are thankful for the comprehensive investigation and prosecution that ensured accountability, culminating in today’s court-imposed sentence of 17.5 years in federal prison, to be followed by 20 years of supervised release and $58,000 in restitution to victims.
As a public servant who advanced legislation aimed at punishing child abusers and protecting vulnerable individuals, Mr. May’s private actions in distributing such horrific and depraved material represent a profound betrayal of public trust and the very principles he publicly championed. He, above all others, should have known better.
Chairman Jeff Davis of the Greenville County Republican Party stated: “It is disgusting but not surprising to find this level of depravity in South Carolina politics. This case is a stark reminder of how predators can hide behind positions of power and public virtue, making the betrayal even more egregious.”
Crimes against children are among the most heinous offenses imaginable, and we stand firmly with the victims and their families in demanding full justice. The Greenville County GOP remains unwavering in its commitment to upholding the rule of law, protecting the innocent, and supporting every effort to combat child exploitation at all levels.
We continue to pray for healing and restoration for all those affected by this tragedy.
It have been a long and revealing saga, but the sentence have finally been handed out.
SC Freedom Caucus Co-Founder and former SC House Rep. RJ May was sentenced today to 17 1/2 years in Federal Prison … followed by 20 years supervision … and a permanent Sex Offender label.
Was it enough? If you have read the court filings in this case … the gory details … you would probably say no. But we can say compared to the sex offender penalties we have seen out of the Alan Wilson’s SC Attorney General’s Office, it was a 1,000 times more than most expected.
Have politicians learned anything? Not particularly. We have watched constantly as his fellow elected officials in the SC Freedom Caucus have covered and protected him. We here have been at odds with RJ May for nearly a decade. It was clear the paid POLITICAL CONSULTANT was not who he said he was. Rumors over just this matter abound starting in April / May 2024 … and although RJ May had disappeared from the public view his fellow SC Freedom Caucus members were calling him an “upstanding member” in November 2024 and badgering reporters for even asking about the matter. (HERE)
The betrayal has been HUGE … the apology and lesson learned has been nonexistent.
Developing story … stay tuned.

40 minutes you don’t want to miss! The SC Attorney General Republican Primary (June 9th, 2026) is the hottest statewide campaign in South Carolina. After 16 years of go along to get along good ole boy politics at the Attorney General’s Office under AG Alan Wilson (who is now running for governor) … South Carolinian’s have a primary election that will set the direction of law enforcement and the fight against corruption for the next 20 years.
David Pascoe, the First Judicial Circuit Solicitor, is the odds on favorite … but the the uniparty establishment is hot to push back and protect itself. It however is not working so far.
Watch for yourself. 40 minutes you don’t want to miss.

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall – Paul wrote these words to remind the early church (and us today) that even those who feel strongest in their faith, principles, and positions are not immune to temptation, complacency, unexpected stumbles, rebellion and overconfidence. This week, let’s each examine our hearts:
-> Are we staying humble before God and dependent on His grace?
-> Are we continuing to build relationships, recruit new members, and train the next generation of conservative leaders?
-> Are we watching our words, actions, and witness so that nothing causes a brother or sister—or a potential voter—to stumble?
-> Are we guarding against the subtle temptations, discouragement, or compromise that have tripped up so many strong movements before us?
God is faithful. He never allows us to be tempted beyond what we can bear, and with every trial He provides a way of escape. Let us lean into that promise as we prepare for the battles ahead in 2026 and beyond.
“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”
1 Corinthians 10:12
To repeat from last Sunday (HERE), Hebrews 13:8 offers a timeless standard for all of us: true leadership—at any level—is marked by unwavering consistency, reflecting the unchanging nature of Christ, who is the same “yesterday, today, and forever.”
