We have been surprised at the amount of interest in the October 6th Davis v. Leupp SC Court of Appeals article (HERE) … and how it relates to the desperate need for Judicial Reform here in South Carolina.
Well … guess what … WE WON!!!
Last Thursday the SC Court of Appeals issued it’s ruling that the case be REVERSED AND REMANDED. That simply means the ruling of the lower Court here in Greenville was overturned (i.e., reversed) and the case is being sent back (i.e., remanded) back to the lower court for further disposition.
So … now we get back to the original case against Mr. Nate Leupp … who happens to be the former Chairman of the Greenville County Republican Party (GCRP) … my immediate predecessor as Chairman of the GCRP … and interestingly enough the employee of Rep. Adam Morgan (R – Greenville), Chairman of the SC Freedom Caucus.
How Did It Get This BAD?
As many of you who reached out … including lawyers who understand the civil procedure issues … this appeal was a Law School 101 case. Many have asked “how in the heck was this case originally dismissed?” Well, IT IS THAT BAD IN OUR SOUTH CAROLINA COURTS!!!
Ask yourself … what are the ramifications? The trial court Judge who improperly dismissed the case is retiring next year. What does he care? Does he lose his retirement? Of course not. Will this ruling overturning his order impact a future re-appointment … NO!!! Years of delay … it seems the goal was achieve no matter what the outcome.
YES … JUDICIAL REFORM!!!
GOOD NEWS … JUDICIAL REFORM is going to be a hot topic in the 2024 SC Legislative Session. South Carolina is one of two states that allows it’s legislators to pick our judges. This is not just a criminal issue … it is civil as well … so no half measures … only FULL JUDICIAL REFORM!!!
And guess what … 9 of the 16 Solicitors in South Carolina … Republicans & Democrats … wrote an unprecedented letter (see HERE) about it just YESTERDAY!!!
There is so much more the come, but it is happening … so stay tuned as we dig deeper … share with you more examples … and keep pushing!!!

In the rush of political life, we often focus on the “what” of our daily tasks. However, Proverbs 31:8-9 calls us back to the “why.”
True leadership is more than winning an argument; it is the courage to use our platform to protect the vulnerable and uphold justice. This week, let us commit to advocating with compassion, judging with righteousness, and defending those in need.
May our legacy be defined not only by the strength of our convictions, but by the depth of our fairness.
“Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor.”
Proverbs 31:8-9
To repeat from last Sunday (HERE), we have much to be thankful for. Our path is illuminated by the hard work of our volunteers and the shared values of our fellow patriots.

Friends, we have been running a weekly Coffee & Politics Meeting out of our Greenville Headquarters for nearly 4 years now … and it has been a huge hit. It is how we communicate our vision and #Mission to or local Volunteers and Community … and it one way we RECRUIT more people to the MAGA America First movement.
We have much to be thankful for. Our path is illuminated by the hard work of our volunteers and the shared values of our fellow patriots. Let’s carry this optimism into the new week, knowing that our best days are not behind us, they are exactly what we are walking toward.
May your Sunday be filled with the “shining light” of peace, joy and purpose.
“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”
Proverbs 4:18
To repeat from last Sunday (HERE), it is one thing to talk about what needs to be done; it is quite another to be the “doer” who makes the hard, heavy decisions that others are too timid to make.

It is one thing to talk about what needs to be done; it is quite another to be the “doer” who makes the hard, heavy decisions that others are too timid to make. While the critics focus on the “shortcomings” and “errors,” we stand with those who have the courage to act … as we know that true leadership isn’t found in the stands – it’s found in the arena.
Let’s pray for our brave service members deployed in harm’s way, for their families here at home, for President Trump and our military leadership as they protect America and our allies from threats abroad.
May we all strive to be doers of the word in our own community.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
James 1:22
To repeat from last Sunday (HERE), Matthew 4:4 reminds us that while physical needs like food, security, and prosperity, are real and important, they are not the ultimate source of life or strength.
