Huge Court of Appeals Win – Davis v Leupp

How Did It Get This BAD?

Published

on

We have been surprised at the amount of interest in the October 6th Davis v. Leupp SC Court of Appeals article (HERE) … and how it relates to the desperate need for Judicial Reform here in South Carolina.

Well … guess what … WE WON!!!

Last Thursday the SC Court of Appeals issued it’s ruling that the case be REVERSED AND REMANDED. That simply means the ruling of the lower Court here in Greenville was overturned (i.e., reversed) and the case is being sent back (i.e., remanded) back to the lower court for further disposition.

So … now we get back to the original case against Mr. Nate Leupp … who happens to be the former Chairman of the Greenville County Republican Party (GCRP) … my immediate predecessor as Chairman of the GCRP … and interestingly enough the employee of Rep. Adam Morgan (R – Greenville), Chairman of the SC Freedom Caucus.

How Did It Get This BAD?

As many of you who reached out … including lawyers who understand the civil procedure issues … this appeal was a Law School 101 case. Many have asked “how in the heck was this case originally dismissed?” Well, IT IS THAT BAD IN OUR SOUTH CAROLINA COURTS!!!

Ask yourself … what are the ramifications? The trial court Judge who improperly dismissed the case is retiring next year. What does he care? Does he lose his retirement? Of course not. Will this ruling overturning his order impact a future re-appointment … NO!!! Years of delay … it seems the goal was achieve no matter what the outcome.

YES … JUDICIAL REFORM!!!

GOOD NEWS … JUDICIAL REFORM is going to be a hot topic in the 2024 SC Legislative Session. South Carolina is one of two states that allows it’s legislators to pick our judges. This is not just a criminal issue … it is civil as well … so no half measures … only FULL JUDICIAL REFORM!!!

And guess what … 9 of the 16 Solicitors in South Carolina … Republicans & Democrats … wrote an unprecedented letter (see HERE) about it just YESTERDAY!!!

There is so much more the come, but it is happening … so stay tuned as we dig deeper … share with you more examples … and keep pushing!!!

Leviticus 25:10

Published

Dear Fellow Patriots,

Our founders looked to Scripture to define liberty. Two hundred and fifty years later, our calling as patriots is to preserve that hard-won freedom, pass it to the next generation, and give thanks to God for sustaining our land through five eras of Jubilee.

History reminds us that liberty is never self-sustaining. It requires the vigilant hearts of people who love truth and honor God. What a profound blessing it is to share this historic milestone with fellow believers and patriots who still cherish these foundational truths.

This Sunday, as we reflect on the immense sacrifices made to secure our rights, let us lift up our families, our state, and our nation in prayer. May God continue to grant us wisdom, pour out His grace upon our land, and find us faithful stewards of the incredible inheritance we celebrate today.

Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you…

Leviticus 25:10

To repeat from last Sunday (HERE), as we reflect on our journey together across South Carolina, we are frequently reminded that defending our values requires not just strength, but steadfast character. We often encounter individuals and environments filled with hostility, bitterness, or ugly behavior meant to provoke and divide us.

Happy Sunday!

Romans 12:20-21

Published

Dear Fellow Patriots,

As we reflect on our journey together across South Carolina, we are frequently reminded that defending our values requires not just strength, but steadfast character. We often encounter individuals and environments filled with hostility, bitterness, or ugly behavior meant to provoke and divide us.

But true patriotism is defined by how we respond in those moments. Instead of matching anger with anger, we are called to take the high road.

Scripture gives us a powerful blueprint for this in Romans 12:20-21:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

When we choose to remain exceptionally kind, welcoming, and gracious in the face of animosity, we don’t show weakness, we show the ultimate strength. Responding with goodness disrupts the plans of those who wish to see us fail, disarming them entirely.

Thank you for continually representing our movement with dignity, grace, and unshakable faith. Let us never be overcome by the negativity around us, but instead continue to conquer evil by doing good.

If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:20-21

To repeat from last Sunday (HERE), Tuesday brings the runoff elections, and many of us are heading to the polls without great enthusiasm. The choices feel limited and imperfect at best. Even so, let us hold fast to this truth: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” – Romans 8:18.

Happy Sunday!

Romans 8:18

Tuesday brings the runoff elections, and many of us are heading to the polls without great enthusiasm. The choices feel limited and imperfect at best. Even so, let us hold fast to this truth: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” – Romans 8:18.

These imperfect battles and flawed options are part of the present struggle. They may frustrate us, but they are temporary. What matters is that we refuse to surrender the ground. Every vote cast helps shape the direction of our state and slows those who would move us further away from our goals and victories. Show up. Vote. Be engaged. Do what we can with the cards we’ve been dealt. The glory and the victories worth having are still ahead for those who remain faithful and engaged.

Runoff Election Day is Tuesday, June 23rd – GO VOTE!!!

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Romans 8:18

To repeat from last Sunday (HERE), as Patriots, we love our country and deeply care about the future of our great Palmetto State. Proverbs 22:29 offers a timely reminder of what truly matters this election season: “Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.”

Happy Sunday!
