As patriots and as people of faith, we should strive to be different. We may disagree, compete, or find ourselves on different sides of an issue or supporting different candidates, but we should never allow ambition or personal benefit to become more important than integrity and the people who have stood beside us.

Success gained at the expense of trust, friendship, or principle is ultimately a poor bargain. Let us choose loyalty over convenience, integrity over personal gain, and peace over strife … and remember that the way we treat one another matters far more than any temporary victory.

No, we don’t encourage “betting” … but we do encourage following the BETTING ODDS (aka “Predication Markets”). A conference we attended this week brought a biblical truth into focus: every generation is tempted to mistake human innovation for ultimate wisdom. Even in ancient times, Paul warned that pride in culture’s sophistication. This leads to trading God for human substitutes.
