Does your Precinct ReOrg Location Require INSURANCE?

It is called a Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI)

Published

on

Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI).  Ever heard of it?  Well if you are a Precinct President (or other leader) and working to schedule your Precinct ReOrg MEETING LOCATION, you may have been asked for one.  Typically if you are using a local public school (or a church) as your ReOrg meeting location, you might be asked for a COI.  It is standard, so don’t worry.

COI Defined:  A certificate of liability insurance (COI), is a simple form issued by your insurance company. It includes the types of coverage, the issuing insurance company, your policy number, the named insured, the policy’s effective dates, and the types and dollar amount of limits and deductibles.

Where do you generally get a COI?:  A certificate of liability insurance (COI), is a simple form issued by your insurance company. It includes the types of coverage, the issuing insurance company, your policy number, the named insured, the policy’s effective dates, and the types and dollar amount of limits and deductibles.

Where do I get a COI for ReOrg Location?:

Two options.  First off, we are told the SCGOP liability coverage includes all ReOrg locations in South Carolina.  That would be logical, although counties that are America First affiliated seem to not be getting a “returned phone call”.  #LearnTheirTricks!!!

Main SCGOP #:  803-988-8440

Drew McKissick: 803-463-2475, 803-376-4794, drew@scgop.com, drew@scgop.com

Hope Walker:  803-463-0541 hope@scgop.com

Mark Bonnoitt:  843-615-2860 mark@scgop.com

2nd Option:  It is possible, that your local GOP has a lability policy and can provide you with a COI.

NOTE:  Listing the location on your COI:  Don’t be alarmed if the location provider also requests that they be added to the COI. This is a common request, and complying generally does not give them any legal rights under a certificate, because the certificate simply establishes that an insurance policy exists.

Who Is Fixing FIRST STEPS?

Why would a member of the SC Freedom Caucus sponsor a leftist bill?

Published

on

Back on June 20th, 2023, the day after the Governor signed the new FIRST STEPS “Fiscal Accountability” bill (H4023) into law we wrote about this bill. We noticed it because it was pushed through outside of session (during the summer) and was passed UNANIMOUSLY by both the SC Senate & the SC House.

Read the article HERE.

Read the H4023 Bill:  HERE.

FIRST STEPS is also a darling program of the left.  We knew this because it was a negotiating tool in our school choice fight over the past decade.  In order to get any advancements for “school choice” … the left (in this case Democrat former Senator Vincent Sheheen) would ask for more “stuff” for FIRST STEPS.  Guess what, he always got it, and we got nothing for school choice.  This is why we are involved!!!

Those are all HUGE “red flags” when it comes to legislation as the SC State House … and that is before we even get into the details of the bill …

(#1) Allowable overhead expenses were increased from 8% to 13% … that is a massive increase for the leftist Pre-K reading program.

(#2) Public Library Employees are now required to be on each of the 46+ FIRST STEP partnership boards.

(#3) More child “data sharing” with the government.

Who would agree to any of that???

Stewart Jones (R – Laurens) – Lead Sponsor of H4023

We were further surprised when we discovered that the lead sponsor of this bill was no other than Rep. STEWART JONES of the SC House Freedom Caucus … and now a candidate for US Congress to replace the retiring U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan (HERE).

Why would a member of the SC Freedom Caucus sponsor a leftist bill? Then we noticed a whole lot of the SC Freedom Caucus members sponsored the bill.

Strange right???

Not really. There is A LOT of money in education … and it is good to have the leftist (which you just gave a 62.5% raise to) on your side when you are running for higher office … like Congress.

THE GRASSROOTS MISSED IT!: Where was the “CALL TO ACTION” from the SC Freedom Caucus to help get this bill passed? There was none because if we had been asked to call in support of this bill, someone would have read the bill … and asked the question … WHY???

This needs to be fixed … by the SC Freedom Caucus.

We have reached out to the SC FREEDOM CAUCUS several times to ask about this mess … with no response.  We have searched the newly filed bills since passage … and there is nothing that we can find that will fix this mess.

So we are asking publicly … what is the status???  Who is going to fix the obvious errors of H4023 as championed by the SC Freedom Caucus???

WHO???

It is a REAL PROBLEM!

Democrat Crossover Voting?  A New Twist!

It is a REAL PROBLEM!!!

Published

on

Democrats vote in the Republican Primaries! It is a fact, and it is a REAL PROBLEM.  We shared with you last summer an example of two far-left RABID Democrats … actual Democrat candidates for office … that regularly vote in Republican Primaries … one is currently sitting on Greenville City Council (HERE).  Democrats do it openly … they don’t care … and our “Republican” Supermajority at the State House won’t do anything to fix it.

And neither will SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick & the SCGOP State Executive Committee.  They all like the status quo as Democrat crossover voters is how a lot of their friends get re-elected.

Well, we also know Democrats are crossing over in the Republican Presidential Preference Primary between President TRUMP and Nikki Haley.  We have seen Democrats posting openly about it on social media … and it is to be expected.

However, in an interesting twist, about two weeks ago Democrat National Committee (DNC) Chairman Jamie Harrison (from South Carolina) publicly stated about Nikki Haley that South Carolina Democrats aren’t “bailing you out”.  (HERE).

The question … was he serious?

2/3/2024 HILL Article:  HERE

Well, it looks like Jamie Harrison & the SC Democratic Party may hold true to that commitment.

Republicans go through a “reorganization” aka ReOrg every two years … and so do Democrats … they just do it in different years (at least until 2025 when Democrats and Republicans will hold their ReOrg at the same time – an interesting change right).  As such, the Democrats are holding their final even year ReOrg in March 2024.

But guess what … the SC Democrats have publicly stated that “No one who votes in the 2024 Republican Presidential Preference Primary can participate in our county conventions.”

So … Democrats are EXCLUDING crossover voters in their 2024 Precinct ReOrg.

Yes, it could be a head-fake and the Democrats could “wave” that rule … or just not check for violations like the SCGOP does with their RINO friends where “selective enforcement” runs rampant for rules violations … but it is a new development from the SCDP.

We can’t wait to see how much crossover voting may help Nikki Haley … but this is an interesting development from the Democrats.

Stay tuned …

Ronna & Drew … You’re FIRED!

TRUMP’s picks …  Michael Whatley & Lara Trump

Published

on

In news that could not come soon enough for grassroots advocates in South Carolina (and across the Nation) … President Donald Trump has announced his endorsements for the new Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair & Co-Chair.  (See formal DJT statement:  HERE)

TRUMP’s picks …

RNC Chair:   Michael Whatley to replace Ronna McDaniel

RNC Co-Chair:   Lara Trump to replace Drew McKissick

TRUMP also asked for Chris LaCivita (HERE) to assume the role of Chief Operating Officer of the RNC.  Trump stated “Chris will manage the RNC’s day-to-day operations so it will become a fighting machine for 2024 and use all the tools available to win for the American people.”  (HERE)

Many of us did not expect the announcement to come before the February 24th South Carolina Presidential Preference Primary … feeling that if SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick was not picked he would “vindictively” take it out on President TRUMP in the upcoming primary … but apparently the TRUMP TEAM was undaunted and made their pick earlier than expected.  It was certainly something the grassroots TRUMP base in South Carolina was calling for since they are largely against Drew McKissick.

This is a bold pick one activist told us, and it is indicative of the direction President TRUMP will take in dealing with the RINO “establishment” going forward.  “We are remaking the Republican Party” the activist continued.

THE NEXT TEST … what will the RNC Members DO?  President TRUMP can make his endorsement, but the real question is what will the 168 “Members” of the RNC (HERE) actually do when the vote come up?  TRUMP had endorsed Michael Whatley over Drew McKissick for Co-Chair last year … but the RNC Members picked McKissick.

This is endorsement for Chair however is much higher stakes … and the Republican base has been seeking change at the top of the RNC for some time now … so stay tuned, it will be interesting … especially if McKissick continues to lobby for the position.

FCC Outlaws AI RoboCalls

“Trust what you see, not what you hear”

Published

on

Have you gotten one of these Artificial Intelligence (AI) RoboCalls?  We have and it was REALLY good quality … but it was not a real person.

The one we received was from the Nikki Haley campaign.  It sounded like a real person, it could respond to generic questions … so if you were not expecting it, responded “typically”, you could have had an entire conversation and made a donation with … a robot.

This AI RoboCall controversy started with a deceptive DEEP FAKE robocall in the New Hampshire Primary in January using an AI generated voice of Joe Biden.   The call told voters to “save” their vote for November … essentially telling folks not to vote in the primary.  Listen HERE.

There is a huge ongoing investigation by the New Hampshire Attorney General to determine “who” is responsible … and so far it is being traced to a company in Texas (HERE).  We would not want to be that political consultant!!!

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) was also quick to act by outlawing these AI generated robocalls.  See article below and the FCC Press Release HERE.

AP Article:  HERE

It is becoming easier and easier to clone peoples voices.  We actually saw video of a Governor Henry McMaster Press Conference where the Governor was saying some really “weird” things.  Well … it wasn’t real.

TRUST NOTHING!!!  They old saying used to be “trust what you see, not what you hear” … well guess what … with these DEEP FAKES you can’t trust anything anymore.

And realized these things really are not hard to make.  We have even heard that there are DEEP FAKES going around about “regular folks” … even us here at mySCGOP with some rather nasty and disgusting things.

The new rule … STOP trusting things you hear & even “videos” you see … ASK THE PERSON!!!

More to come we are sure … so stay tuned …
