SCGOP Rule 16(b) – Dissolving a County GOP?

Did you know there is a “DEATH PENALTY” for an entire County GOP?

Yesterday we reminded everyone about SCGOP Rule 16(c) (HERE) which is the sure and easy way to be relieved of your Officer, Delegate or Alternate position within your local County GOP (see below) … but did you know there is a “DEATH PENALTY” for an entire County GOP?

Well if your recall at the “emergency” SCGOP State Convention on July 30, 2022 … the new SCGOP Rule 16(b) was ramrodded though without discussion.

Some call it the Greenville Rule denoting the rumored intent to “scare” (or actually “dissolve”) the Greenville County Republican Party as the primary MAGA / America FIRST opposition leader against SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick.

All under the guise of supposed repeated rules violations … which may sound reasonable … although there is no requirement that any rules violations actually occur or be disclosed. [NOTE: The “political tactic” of manipulation typically used is to make accusations of violating rules … while providing no details of any rules actually being violated.] 

So basically, the SCGOP State Executive Committee has the power to “dissolve” or “unorganize” a local County GOP if 75% of the entire body (50 voting members in total) says so.

That is, 38 YES votes are required to dissolve a County GOP.

SCGOP Rule 16(b) has never been used before … but it exist and we should all be aware of this rule as well … but more importantly, we should be aware of “why” it was instituted … to protect the “establishment”.
