Gaslighting … Don’t Fall For It!!!

We are never going to fix this political mess until WE figure out the mental manipulation and “games” that are played by politicians and others in the political world. You have to identify it first, then you can counteract it.

POLITICAL GASLIGHTING (defined):   A form of dishonesty used by politicians and others that distracts or confuses public opinion by using misleading and manipulative information to undermine, sway, and disorient public opinion on political issues.

Just look at the First Steps bill just passed into law (HERE).  How do “Republicans” justify it … without gaslighting the public?  Adding Public Library employees to local First Step Partnership Boards, increasing the administrative fee from 8% to 13%, and making the program permanent (so no more 5 year renewal debates)?   None of that makes any sense!

It follows that none of the liberty oriented sponsors of the First Steps bill will discuss it.  What did we say last week … “Don’t Trust People That Won’t Meet … or Discuss” (HERE).  All of that is Political Gaslighting!!!

VIDEO EXAMPLE:  Watch this simple example by an “old guard” establishment guy … he is yelling from his seat as the recognized speaker is at the microphone … he also gets up twice, before the speaker and after the speaker … breaking in line, yelling and screaming about the meeting saying to the Chairman to “get control of this meeting” … but it is clear that orderly discussion was going on and HE was in fact the only person creating a major disturbance.  Enjoy the video, it is one of our favorites …  

Defeat Gaslighting. Seek TRUTH!!!

There is one simple way to DEFEAT Political Gaslighting … just seek truth!!!

Focus on facts. Focus on open and honest discussions. Be dispassionate. Think logically, not emotionally. As we teach, watch what they DO, not what they SAY … follow the money … and trust no one!!!

“Watch what they DO,

not what they SAY.”

There is a whole lot of information out there about gaslighting. Just google it up yourself … “Political Gaslighting” … and see what you can find. A lot of the research out there is about gaslighting in personal relationships, but dig a little deeper and you will find the political stuff. It is all related, and all used (knowingly or unknowingly) to serve someone else’s agenda.

And when you do your research … don’t be gaslit yourself. We saw several articles that sought to gaslight their readers by saying one side or the other were the primary gaslighters. President TRUMP for example is often accused of being a gaslighter … when in reality it appears he is the victim of gaslighting.

THINK FOR YOURSELF!!! Don’t be used to promote gaslighting by others.
