This Tuesday, November 4, you have the chance to help increase righteousness by casting an informed, prayerful vote. No candidate is perfect, but policies and character that honor God’s design for life, family, justice, and truth lead to measurable flourishing – lower corruption and stronger communities. Your ballot is a stewardship from the Lord; use it to reflect His values.

Yet the deepest rejoicing comes not from any office but from the throne of King Jesus, who offers perfect righteousness to all who trust Him. So vote on Tuesday, live righteously today, and pray now for leaders who fear God.

In a world of politics, filled with smears, half-truths, tribal hatred, and power grabs, Philippians 4:8 is a radical call to guard your mind. Paul isn’t asking you to be naive or to ignore evil; he’s commanding you to intentionally dwell on what is objectively good. Your thoughts shape your character, and your character shapes your actions—even (or especially) when the political arena tries to drag you into the mud.

When every argument screams division, ask: Is this true? Noble? Pure? If it’s just rage-bait or character assassination, seek truth and educate others. The world of politics will try to reprogram your mind to accept gossip and ugliness as normal. Philippians 4:8 is your firewall. The moment you let the poison of slander and division settle in your thoughts, you’ve already lost, no matter what issue you are advocating for or who wins the election.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

Philippians 4:8

To repeat from last Sunday (HERE), instead of viewing difficulties or setbacks as obstacles see them as purposeful vehicles for development!

It was a huge win for conservatives as former (now future) Senator Lee Bright (HERE) won the special election for SC Senate District 12 replacing Senator Roger Nutt (HERE) who resigned earlier this year due to health reasons.  

Although most of Senate District 12 lies in Spartanburg County, it was the votes in conservative Greenville County that pulled Lee Bright over the 50% + 1 margin. Bright narrowly avoided a runoff by 46 votes, with Greenville providing a solid margin of 126 extra votes over his two competitors.

Congratulations Senator Lee Bright!

Instead of viewing difficulties or setbacks as obstacles see them as purposeful vehicles for development! Hardships are not just problems to endure but moments that shape you and produce perseverance! Each challenge you face, whether big or small, is a chance to develop resilience, patience, to lean into faith, trust in God’s plan and it is a step to handle future challenges with greater strength.  

And remember JOY is a choice, not a feeling!
