ESA Program Sued in SC Supreme Court
Every single legislator knew this was going to happen
Isn’t it amazing … let us assure you that every single legislator, every single SC School Choice “advocate”, and every monied special interest lobbyist knew this was going to happen. They care more about the “political games” … and their MONEY … than helping K-12 kids get the education they deserve. THIS is why we got involved in this political mess!!!

Our SC kids deserve better!!!
PACE / ACE (S 285) SCHOLARSHIP BILL IS THE “ONLY” SOLUTION: They all also know that the PACE / ACE (S 285) Scholarship Bill filed by SC Senator Tom Davis (R – Beaufort) and that has already passed the SC Senate and is sitting in the SC House Ways & Means Committee is 1,000% legally bulletproof … can not be shut down … and they still chose to go the ESA route because that is where the money is to line their pockets.

What does all this mean for us … the parents, kids, and schools? Well, we do not know the exact timeline as of yet that this court case will take, expect it to drag on for several months, but we are sure the folks that brought this lawsuit have a plan and their timing will prevail.
But we do know … AS IT SHOULD … this lawsuit will put the pressure back on the SC House of Representatives to PASS the PACE / ACE Scholarship Bill (#1) as soon as possible and (#2) as-is, with no changes!!! That is of course “if” they want to help children.
CALL TO ACTION: Call your SC House Rep (HERE), let them know about the lawsuit and insist that they pass S 285 immediately with no changes (HERE) … and ask them to PUT KIDS FIRST!!! It is the only solution.
Stay tuned as we get more details in the coming weeks … but to us (and the five SC Supreme Court Justices that found this scheme unconstitutional 3 years ago), the SC Constitution is VERY CLEAR.
